Worlds Chat was the first version of the program released to the public by Worlds Inc. It was the beta stage for what would eventually become Worlds Chat Gold. It featured several avatars one could choose to log in. The world was that of a space station, with different pods going to different environments and rooms. These rooms were usually named by their category of rooms they present, with many rooms being empty to house users who wish to talk about the subject. Worlds Chat was shut down on September 3rd, 1996 ¹⁾ to make way for Worlds Chat Gold. It was celebrated through The End of the World event.
